Mountain Bikes Under 1000$

Mountain Bikes have changed in the past five or six years for MUCH better prices. Mountain Bikes are the style of bikes which most puts people off cycling, it is because the prices start so low, and supermarkets, catalogues and cheap outlets see them as some form of commodity like baked beans, or meaning that many people are succored into buying a cheap "Mountain Bike". Hence, there are a lot of mountain bikes to choose from and with a range of styles and a choice of equipment to suit every style and budget they have a lot going for them. If you’re small, mountain bikes are fit for you even if you have no intention to tackle severe terrain, since the smaller wheels make a better-fitting bike for you.

Example of really nice mountain bikes under 1000$ is the Trek 6700 ($950). Nice Bontrager wheels, mostly Shimano shift-and-brake stuff, Duke C fork from Rockshox with adjustable stiffness. Another choice, Raleigh's M600 ($780) gives you disc brakes plus a Judy fork and an all-Shimano drive train, albeit the relatively modest Deore line. Still, that's not bad, isn’t it?

We do have many manufactures that offering a wide range of mountain bikes, and we think it’s a great place to start with the budget you have. Here you’ll get a lot of good mountain bikes under 1000$ which might not sound cheap but for that money you’ll get a bike that you’ll enjoy riding and one that will handle the off-road sections you throw at it.
